The word's enough: the group has made a generation, starting out from Turin and then infecting the whole of Italy. All of it in only ten years. Their first album came out in the spring of 1997. And after that another three followed, then another three live albums which prove their activity onstage, now beyond the hundreds. Very rock, in this sense. The extra gear is given them by dance music grooves, a foundation element of the quintet as much as the rest. And to complete the framework, they have a poetic cipher which transversely associated them with the best tradition of Italian songwriting. Franco Battiato must think so as well, seeing as it was he who asked for them to accompany him onstage at Traffic. Subsonica, flattered, accepted, finding the time to separate themselves from the busy work of producing their next album, for this, their sole summer show.
